Sustainable solutions and trend-setting technologies for industry and off-highway

New Rubber Track for Toughest Applications

Robust and high-performance: ContiTech is now launching a re-designed rubber track to the market, Trackman XP. This product is designed as a positive drive track, and has been specially adapted to the requirements of the off-highway sector. Not only does it reduce vibrations and improve the ride comfort, the developers have also increased the service life once again.

Surface Scanner Makes Conveyor Belt Damage Visible

To allow conveyor belt systems to run free of faults and cost-effectively in the long term, even when subjected to high loads, the operators are focusing more and more on prevention: Mobile inspection systems like the surface scanner from ContiTech allow conveyor belts to be serviced while still in operation, and help to detect at an early stage damage caused by the material conveyed or by wear.

Innovative Lift Drive with ContiTech Belt for the Rack Feeders of the Future

Minimized wear and tear, lower maintenance requirements, and optimized positioning times. Together with LTW Intralogistics, a supplier of intralogistics systems, and with sales partner Synchrotech, ContiTech has developed a new technology for the lift drive of rack feeders. At the heart of the development is a Synchrodrive timing belt from ContiTech. At the Hanover Messe trade fair, the company presented a more highly-developed variant of the belt for an even better performance.

Resistant ECO2 Air Actuators Open Up New Applications

ContiTech is the first manufacturer in the world to offer air actuators made of an ECO compound with improved resistance to chemicals and environmental influences. The new ECO2 air actuators can now also be used in applications in which they are exposed to lubricating oils, corrosive vapors, and alkalis. ContiTech's new ECO2 compound is also lead-free.

Extremely Flexible High-Temperature Hose from ContiTech Reduces Weight and Saves Fuel

ContiTech has developed an extremely flexible high-temperature hose with external reinforcement for truck and off-highway applications. Its flexibility allows it to be used even in especially tight and complex installation situations – and that includes the very high temperatures encountered there. It supplies the turbocharger with cooling water and lubricating oil, and is also used in its control system. The hose is also suitable for transporting air or as a fuel return line.

Flightfloor Eco Sets Standards in the Air

Benecke-Kaliko, ContiTech's surface specialist, will be presenting one of its latest highlights for the aviation market, the further developed Flightfloor Eco floor covering. The material saves 700 grams per square meter compared with standard products, thereby lowering fuel consumption. This also reduces CO2 emissions and protects the environment. In airplanes, the non-textile floor covering material is mainly used in the entrance area, galley, and restroom.

Bicycle Messenger Bags by BREE in Functional Material by ContiTech

For its new "PUNCH PRO" bicycle messenger bag range, renowned bag manufacturer BREE is relying on high-quality products from ContiTech: functional and durable materials for maximum comfort. As part of the Hannover Messe, the two long-established, Hanover-based companies have joined forces to develop two prototypes in a cool urban design.

Car Tires and Engine Mounts with Rubber Made from Dandelion Roots

Two product samples from the international technology corporation Continental have proven the effectiveness of rubber made from dandelion roots. Back in 2014, Continental brought onto the road the first sample of a premium winter tire featuring tread made from dandelion rubber. At the end of 2015, ContiTech tested the new resource named TARAXAGUM for anti-vibration technology.

Dry Suit Fabric Sets Entirely New Standards

A new dry suit fabric developed by ContiTech offers maximum protection and the greatest possible level of safety in and under water. At the same time, the coated fabric offers maximum wear comfort, as it is extremely lightweight and pleasingly flexible.
