Active Chassis Stabilization

Modern "active chassis" in the car sector are an intelligent combination of hydraulics for optimum power transmission and electronics for sensor and control systems.

These systems actively compensate up to approx. 70% of chassis movements, significantly enhancing safety and comfort, whether the vehicle is starting up, braking, cornering or in the case of uneven road surfaces. The hydraulic lines required for these applications must meet extreme requirements with regards to pressure and temperature for the life of the vehicle.

In addition, the lines must be manufactured under especially clean conditions since the slightest contamination could cause the system to malfunction. ContiTech Fluid Technology meets these requirements with special products and production areas with cleanroom conditions where, for instance, active chassis from Daimler (ABC), BMW (ARS) and PSA are now produced.

Special hose constructions designed for operating pressures higher than 200 bar and a temperature range from -40°C to -125°C (short term +135°C).
