Practical Test

Lay out, attach, fill - the metamorphosis from a small package to a truck-based container takes only 30 minutes.

This flexible container made of fabric-reinforced butyl rubber holds several thousand litres of liquid and can be used as a transport or storage container.

Application: Transport of Resins for Wood Adhesive Production

The latest application field is the transport of resins for the wood industry: the resin is quickly and easily transferred to the container which is around 12 metres long and 2 metres wide and is then transported by truck to its destination.

On the return journey the folded container leaves enough space to allow the cargo area to be loaded with timber again. This means that empty trips can be avoided.

An ideal solution: the containers are easy to handle and save money and space.

The containers weigh only 170 kilograms and can hold up to 16,000 litres of liquid. The material and seams are absolutely leakproof. The mechanically tough elastomer material can also withstand repeated filling and folding without problems.

A Portuguese timber company has already been using the containers for over two years, while further enquiries have also been received from South Africa and Germany.

Application: Storage of Binder

However, these flexible containers also work well as storage containers. A paper mill, for example, uses them to store binder.

There is no air column above the stored liquids when filling or emptying. This enables air-sensitive or oxygen-sensitive liquids to be handled.

The flexible containers come complete with filling and venting fittings, and can also be supplied on request with corner clamps and/or a harness for attaching them to the loading surface and/or a repair set.
