Strong wrap-up for fiscal 2011

In the past fiscal year, ContiTech posted sales of approximately €3.6 billion. This works out to an increase of 16 percent over the previous year's figure of EUR 3.1 billion. The operating result (EBIT) also improved, rising 13 percent from €370 million to €417 million.

ContiTech invested €111 million (PY: €100 million), or an increase of 11 percent.

The excellent sales also had a positive effect on employee headcount. The number of employees rose from 25,833 in the previous year to 27,249 in 2011.
